The 2024 edition of the BRISPO lecture series: Giselinde Kuipers (KULeuven, Belgium), Beauty and Inequality. Charting new sociological territory
Giselinde Kuipers is a Research Professor in Sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences and coordinator of the Center for Sociological Research (CeSO) at this faculty. Conducts research into the social formation of cultural – especially moral and aesthetic – standards and the consequences of these standards for social inequalities and identities. Her current research focuses mainly on the relationship between beauty and inequality, and the role of humour in the public sphere.
