Biography
I am a research professor at the Department of Sociology Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I hold BSc and MSc degrees in statistics and a PhD degree in social and political sciences from Catholic University of Leuven. My scholarly interests cover a wide range from migration, inequalities, public perception and attitudes, ethical and trustworthy AI, use and governance of Big Data and AI for global challenges to new methodologies, social and public policies. I have substantial experience in quantitative and mixed research methods and empirical evidence-based policy-making. I have served as an external expert and reviewer for several international funding institutes and as a reviewer for many international journals. I believe in open science and science for society.
