About the project
In 2018 Research Group TOR conducted a study on the workload of school teachers in Flanders, a study was commissioned by The Flemish Ministry of Education. Through the software platform MOTUS, teachers were invited to register their time-use for 7 days, both professional and private time. The Research Group TOR collected data from end of January 2018 until mid-May 2018, capturing (combined) periods of teaching, exam, vacation but also of part-time work, sickness, school-outs, and many more variations in a week’s live of a teacher. As a result, this study captured over 1.000.000 actions of about 8.000 teachers (young to old) in 56.000 diary days (or comprised 150 years).
