Lobke Van Ryckeghem
Biography
I obtained my master's degree in sociology from the University of Antwerp (2023), writing my thesis on the experience of water poverty in Flanders. In the same year, I started working as a PhD researcher and teaching assistant at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. My study is qualitative in nature and deals with the male experience of infertility and fertility treatment in Flanders (Belgium) and the Netherlands. In addition, I assist the course 'Sociology I', 'Qualitative Methods', and teach the course 'Seminar Sociology and Methodology Science'.
My academic interests lie within the field of (reproductive) health sociology and social psychology. I am also deeply fascinated by science communication, which I actively pursue through my roles on the editorial team of Sociologie Magazine and the steering committee of the ANSER PhD network.
