Lobke Van Ryckeghem
Biography
I obtained my master's degree in sociology from the University of Antwerp (2023), writing my thesis on the experience of water poverty in Flanders. In the same year, I started working as a PhD researcher and teaching assistant at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. My study is qualitative in nature and deals with the male experience of infertility and fertility treatment in Flanders. In addition, I assist the course 'Sociology I', 'Qualitative Methods', and teach the course 'Seminar Sociology and Methodology Science'.
My academic interests lie within the field of (sexual) health sociology and social psychology. I am also deeply fascinated by science communication, which I actively pursue through my roles on the editorial team of Sociologie Magazine and the steering committee of ANSER.
