Lena Imeraj
Biography
I am the postdoctoral research coordinator of the Brussels Centre for Urban Studies. In addition to my role at the Centre, I hold positions as a part-time professor in Sociology at BRISPO and professor in Urban Studies at Cosmopolis Centre for Urban Research, both at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
My research interests are diverse, covering various topics within population studies and the fields of urban and human geography. My work primarily focuses on neighbourhood population changes and segregation, life course perspectives on residential change and segregation, residential mobility and residential decision making, ethnic inequalities, and migrant settlement and integration. I possess expertise in quantitative methodologies and advanced statistical techniques.
Over the years, I have actively participated in a range of international and interdisciplinary projects, which include ResSegr (JPI Urban Europe), Cities and Newcomers (VUB Interdisciplinary Research Programme), Bruxodus (INNOVIRIS), BRUTUS (VUB-Foundation), and AirBRU (INNOVIRIS).
