Biography
I am Imke Dirkx, and I am a PhD candidate at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. I hold an M.S. degree in Psychology from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
My PhD focuses on the role that financial insecurity plays in the lives of the employed and unemployed. More specifically, I explore the dynamic nature of financial insecurity and its effects on work-related behaviours.
Besides research, I am also a teaching assistant for several Human Resource Management courses, and I am the coordinator of the Bachelor Paper for Business Economics.
Outside of academia, I love to work out, cuddle and go for long walks with my dog, Vino.
