This research traces the differences between the principles of the European Charter for Researchers and the rules and actual situation of Vrije Universiteit Brussel. The GAP analysis is based on VUB policy documents, existing surveys among researchers, interviews among the VUB administration and focus groups among VUB researchers. Based on the GAP analysis an action plan is developed.
