2006-2009
This project wants to examine if a revision of the cross-curricular attainment targets which are formulated for secondary education is required. The demand of such a revision can be based on three elements: the (social and educational) relevance of the current targets, new upcoming (social and educational) priorities and the feasibility of the current targets. In this set-up there are two relevant parties, namely the social actors and all actors involved in education. The viewpoint of the social actors will be investigated by means of a survey among representatives of the civil society. The educational actors are in this research the school heads, the teachers and the pupils. To capture the opinions of these actors, we will make use of face-to-face interviews (school heads and experts), class surveys (pupils), websurveys (school heads, teachers and representatives of the civil society) and focus groups (all involved actors).
