Biography
I hold the position of Professor of Human Resources at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Solvay Business School, Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). I have an extensive academic background, having previously worked at Maastricht University, Utrecht University, and KU Leuven. At VUB, I teach courses in Human Resource Management and Organizational Design. My research is primarily focused on work stress, motivation, and proactive work behavior. My recent work delves into the impact of financial stress in the workplace. I am a prolific researcher, having authored over 90 international peer-reviewed articles. My publications have appeared in esteemed journals such as the Journal of Organizational Behavior, Journal of Occupational Health Psychology, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Human Resource Management Review, and Work & Stress. I have also contributed significantly to the academic community, serving as the past chair of the Academy of Management Careers Division and currently chairing the Business department at VUB.
