Lobke Van Ryckeghem, BRISPO PhD researcher and teaching assistant, won the ANSER Poster Award 2026 with a poster on her PhD work on male infertility. As part of the award, ANSER is hosting a webinar fully dedicated to her research.
She will present 'Men's lived experiences of infertility and its implications for masculinities'. The talk looks at how infertility affects men's experiences of masculinity, what challenges they face in seeking support, and why men's perspectives should be more visible in reproductive health research and discussions.
Lobke's research focuses on men facing infertility and fertility treatment in Belgium and the Netherlands, with a particular interest in reproductive health, masculinities and social support. Her former research assistant, Emma Hobbs, will join her to answer questions.
