The research project Vroeg Geleerd on relational well-being and bullying in school, is proud to announce the launch of their website (www.vroeggeleerd.be) and LinkedIn-page (www.linkedin.com/vroeggeleerd)
Vroeg Geleerd is an interdisciplinary SBO-FWO research project led by Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), KU Leuven, and AP University of Applied Sciences (AP Hogeschool). The project investigates relational well-being and bullying in primary education.
With a team of 11 researchers from sociology, psychology and criminology, they started fieldwork last year in five primary schools across Brussels, Antwerp, Limburg, and West Flanders. Using innovative methods, they explored how relational well-being and bullying develop – already at a young age.

Why is this important? While much research focuses on relational well-being and bullying among older children, Vroeg Geleerd looks at the origins of prejudice and exclusion to better understand when and how these processes begin. In doing so, they also focus on specific identity traits such as gender, ethnicity, socio-economic status, body type, and physical disability.
On the website and LinkedIn page, you can find:
- The results of the study
