Iris's PhD project Sustainable Rural Communities: Comparing the Receptivity to Migration and Territorial Regeneration in Two Rural Areas of Spain and Ireland examines how international migration shapes life in rural, declining areas. This month Iris will be conducting ethnographic research in Ballyhaunis, engaging with residents, local authorities, and civil society to better understand social cohesion, inclusion, and rural regeneration.
