Biography
After finishing my bachelor`s (Sun Yat-sen University, China) and master`s (KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Sweden) study, with a specialization in Urban and Rural Planning and Sustainable Urban Planning, I joined the Department of Geography at VUB in December 2023 as a Ph.D. candidate in Urban Studies. Currently, I am a member of the CGIS, Cosmopolis, and Interface Demography (ID) research groups. My research interests lie in urban green spaces and environmental justice for socially vulnerable groups. My PhD research focuses on the assessment of urban nature-based solutions around the fundamental social amenities for the aging population and their climate change vulnerabilities. In my free time, I enjoy knitting and strolling in the city and nature to relax myself. Sometimes I am a good cook.
