Yaksh Handa

I am a PhD Candidate in Sociology at VUB and a Teaching Assistant in the Social Sciences bachelor's programme. In my doctoral thesis, I study how the temporality of economic crises and business cycles affects the life course of people who enter the labour market at a specific time. This causes differences in mobility capacity across generations, further exacerbated by socio-ethnic characteristics and institutional differences across countries. The role of policy and its diversity across different institutional systems is also an interesting caveat I will explore.
