I am a PhD candidate in Sociology under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Pieter-Paul Verhaeghe. In my doctoral thesis, I am studying the role of institutions, socioeconomic policy (monetary, fiscal, education, housing, etc.) and socioeconomic background (class, caste, education, wealth, etc) on intergenerational mobility and SES persistence. This is a macro-level thesis and cross-country comparison is an important part of the study. The focus of my study is primarily on developed countries with some work also on India and Latin America.
Alongside my PhD, I am also a Teaching Assistant in the Social Sciences bachelor's programme where I teach the courses Current Issues I and Statistics for the Social Sciences, along with supervision for some bachelor's papers.
