Wanru Xu

I obtained my master's degree in education at the Beijing Normal University and started my PhD in September 2020. For my master's thesis, I conducted a qualitative study, exploring the cultural (re)production practice in local rural schools in Western China. Currently, my research mainly concerns the alternative school choice and parenting practices of the Chinese middle class.
