Selin Aslan Şenol
Biography
I am a PhD researcher at Vrije Universiteit Brussel, working at the intersection of spatial analysis and migration studies. My research examines how digital participation and social networks reveal the emotional geographies of migrant populations, combining big and thick data approaches.
I am an urban planner and urban designer with both academic and professional experience across different scales of urban research and practice. I have contributed to a nationally funded research project in Turkey and have received awards in national and international urban design competitions. My broader research interests include participatory planning, digital urbanism, urban perception, and data-informed planning approaches.
