Biography
Michelle von Dach is a PhD researcher at the University of Zurich (UZH) in Social Anthropology. She specialised particularly in international migration, border studies, bordering practices such as waiting as a temporal border, precarity and uncertainty in urban contexts, gender and migration. She conducted ethnographic fieldwork in Italy focusing on migrants’ experiences and daily life, struggles and strategies to navigate precarity in in/formal economies.
