2025-2026 | EWCS
This project examines the comparability of face-to-face and fully online survey modes in measuring job quality, using data from EWCS 2024 which has been experimantally collected via both face-to-face and online fieldwork methods. The analysis evaluates item- and index-level performance across field work modes, focusing on nonresponse, distributions, subgroup prevalence, sample composition effects, and measurement equivalence. Also associations with well-being (WHO-5), job engagement, workâlife balance, and health and safety risks are assessed to identify similarities and differences between survey approaches. Moreover, selected constructs are compared over time to evaluate the impact of survey mode on trend reporting. Based on these analyses, conclusions and recommendations on the degree of comparability across survey modes will be drawn.
