Since 1987 the Sociology department has studied the political opinions and attitudes of students who started their education in human science at the university. Every two years newborn university students participate in this study. since the start of this tradition, the research group has at its disposal cross-sectional data from over 3000 students. These data offer the opportunity to analyse trends and evolutions in first-generation university students. For the coming survey, 2001-2002, the research group would like to incorporate a longitudinal section. Three years after the first questionnaire the same students are asked to participate in a follow-up questionnaire. at this point, we gather information about evolutions in opinions during academic education.
