The principles of the Tubbe model in elderly care represent an innovative approach that emphasizes co-governance and relationship-centered care. With this approach, residents of nursing homes and care homes (MR/MRS) have a say in organizing their daily lives, and staff members also play a key role in decision-making. In this framework, facility management takes the form of coaching, which fosters strong connections between residents, staff, families, and society as a whole. Inspired by Scandinavian practices, the Tubbe model aims to establish a horizontal organizational structure to enhance the quality of care through close collaborative relationships between staff and residents.
